A dependent child is someone who is under the age of 22, and is not married or in a common-law relationship. The child is dependent on their parents for financial support due to physical and mental conditions. The profiles of such children are processed as Dependents.
Dependents over the age limit:
Children who are 22 or above mat qualify as dependants if they:
• have depended on their parents for financial support since before they were 22 and
• can’t financially support themselves because of a mental or physical condition
